In worship services at Lockland Church of the Nazarene, It's instead, our hope and prayer that the worship services will draw our full attention to our God and his redemptive work to reconcile all things to him in Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:20).
We want people to come as they are (e.g. happy or sad, rich or poor, convinced or questioning) because we believe that God’s good news—that Jesus Christ came to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15)—is of ultimate relevance for every person in every situation. Thus, we invite you (no matter who you are or what your situation is) to join us during these worship gatherings.
When you come, you will find many components of the service that are designed to direct your attention and praise toward God. We sing together; we pray together; we read scripture together. We meditate and reflect on God’s Word through an extended time of Bible teaching. All of these (and more) are avenues constructed to lead those who are present closer to God. However, and this is extremely important, such worship must never end when we exit the church building. Instead, true worship must invade every area and each moment of the Christian life!
